Play!         Play in Applet!         Maintainer: garf         Back to: Strategy

Description
A Connect Four variant with combos.

Instructions

Connect Four is fairly well known; the players drop chips into a board trying to form 4 in a row, horizontally, vertically or diagonally. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connect_Four for more information.

Connect Four has been solved long ago for many board sizes (but you can play it with this by selecting classic), but in this variant, the game is not over when 4 pieces are in a row; instead, those vanish and score a point each. If the chips falling down form a new row, they score 2 each (for their owner, not necessarily the turn holder), then 3 in the next step and so on.

To place a chip, simply click on the board over the column you want to place in.

The game end conditions (classic, max score and max turns) and board sizes are currently configurable in pretty arbitrary ranges that might be refined later if the variant turns out to be fun.
